*704Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the County Court, Orange County (Rosenwasser, J.), rendered May 18, 2001, convicting him of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in third degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is reversed, on the law, and a new trial is ordered.
