FABE, Justice.
I. INTRODUCTION
Will Sands shot himself after suffering emotional distress allegedly caused by the actions of Living Word Fellowship, a church, and two of its members, Daniel and Lisbeth Hejl. Sands brought suit in superior court against Living Word and the Hejls, alleging three causes of action: (1) negligent infliction of emotional distress, (2) intentional infliction of emotional distress, and (8) abuse of process.
