I concur fully in the opinion expressed by Mr. Justice Muebay, in the General Term of the Supreme Court, upon the construction or rather the plain meaning and legal effect of the statute of New Jersey, relied upon as a defence to this action.

Heither the rules of the common law touching the responsibility of innkeepers, nor the principles governing the interpretation of statutes are in any doubt.
