LWe granted certiorari in this matter primarily to examine whether an employer is liable for medical treatment when an employee’s on-the-job injury is aggravated in a severe automobile accident that occurred off the job two years later. In urging such liability, claimant has relied on this court’s holding in Kelly v. City of New Orleans, 414 So.2d 770 (La.1982) and LSA-R.S. 23:1101(C). Following a consideration of the specific facts of this case and the applicable law, we find claimant’s reliance is misplaced, and we reverse the portion of the judgment casting the defendant…
