SHÁDUR, District Judge:

Donal M. Walsh (“Walsh”) appeals from his conviction under 18 U.S.C. § 1014 (“Section 1014”), after a jury trial in the District Court for the Southern District of New York (Parker, J.), on one count of knowingly making false statements to a federally-insured bank in connection with his application for a home mortgage loan. Application of the sentencing guidelines (“Guidelines”) produced a prison sentence of 12 months and 1 day, a $10,000 fine and a $50 special assessment.
