This is a forfeiture action in rem, brought by the United States of America, under Rule G of the Supplemental Rules for Certain Admiralty and Maritime Claims and Asset Forfeiture Actions. Specifically, the United States seeks the forfeiture of $10,648 in United States currency that was seized from the residence of Karla Schulz by police officers executing a search warrant.
