Cora- Lee Emmerke was injured in an accident by the Louisville Railway Company on February 8, 1945, and the following day she employed appellees, E. Paul Denunzio and Harold L. Stucker, to prosecute her claim for personal injuries. These attorneys entered into a contract with her by which she agreed to pay them a fee equal to 40% of whatever sum was obtained by compromise, or 50% in the event it was necessary to file suit.
