At issue is whether postjudgment interest is recoverable under the Massachusetts Tort Claims Act, G. L. c. 258 (1990 ed.). Following a jury-waived trial, the plaintiff, Joan E. Onofrio, administratrix of the estate of Pasquale J. Onofrio, also known as Patrick J.
