On June 12, 1973, the Board of Education of the Lebanon R-3 School District voted to terminate the indefinite contract between the school district and John Dameron, a “permanent teacher.” 1 In addition to containing certain “findings,” the order of the board terminating the contract recited that the action was taken “because of inefficiency.” Dameron appealed to the circuit court, where the action of the board was affirmed.
