The plat embodied herein will assist in understanding' some of the facts involved in this case. Second Street, also used as Highway No. 20, in Webster City, Iowa, runs east and west and is 52 feet wide; Des Moines Street runs north and south across Second Street and is 42 feet wide. Plaintiff’s intestate, while walking across the south half of the intersection of Des Moines and Second Streets was struck by one of defendant’s trucks, and received severe injuries, resulting in his death.
