The plaintiff is the widow of John H. Norton, deceased, and sues as administratrix of his estate for the benefit of herself as widow. The suit is brought under the Federal Employers' Liability Act, for damages sustained through the death of her husband, alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the defendants. At the time of his death and for several years prior thereto, Norton was employed by the defendants, receivers, in their yards at Venice, Illinois, as a cars inspector, and a part of his duty was making light repairs upon cars in said yards.
