SULLIVAN, Chief Judge:

On December 15, 1989, appellant was tried by a general court-martial composed of officer and enlisted members at Karlsruhe, Federal Republic of Germany. Consistent with his pleas, he was found guilty of robbery and aggravated assault, in violation of Articles 122 and 128, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC §§ 922 and 928, respectively. He was sentenced to a dishonorable discharge, 5 years’ confinement, total forfeitures, and reduction to Private E-1. The convening authority approved the sentence.
