Appellant, Larry Gooch, was tried for various crimes arising from his involvement in the “M Street Crew,” a gang in Washington, D.C. By jury verdict returned on June 1, 2007, Appellant “was found guilty of a narcotics conspiracy, participation in a Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organization (‘RICO’), drug dealing, four felony murders, assault with intent to kill while armed, assault on a police officer, three violent crimes in aid of racketeering activity (WICAR’), and various gun charges.” United States…
