George Best filed, a petition to. remove Paul Reed Harper as a board member of the Somervell County Hospital District. The State of Texas assumed the role of plaintiff pursuant to section 87.018(b) and (d) of the Texas Local Government Code. Tex. Loc. Gov’t Code Am § 87.018(b), (d) (West 2008).
