This is an action on the case brought to recover damages for an injury sustained by the plaintiff by reason of the alleged negligence of the employee of the defendants. At the time of the injury complained of the defendants were the owners of a gasoline launch known as the Wolverine, with which they were engaged in the transportation of passengers between the dock in St. Joseph and Pottawattamie Park on Lake Michigan, north of St. Joseph about eight miles.
