Leif Eric Hellstrom appeals as a matter of right from his conviction in the Jessamine Circuit Court for first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse of his adopted stepdaughter. Punishment was *613set at imprisonment for 45 years and five years, respectively, to run consecutively for a total of 50 years.
