*710In an action to recover damages for personal injuries, the defendant New York City Transit Authority appeals, as limited by its brief, from so much of a judgment of the Supreme Court, Queens County (Roman, J.), entered August 23, 2007, as, upon a jury verdict on the issues of liability and damages and upon the denial of its motion pursuant to CPLR 4401 for judgment as a matter of law made at the close of the plaintiffs case on the issue of liability, is in favor of the plaintiff and against it in the principal sum of $647,333.
