The issues raised on the appeal and cross-appeal concern a construction contract dispute which arose between subcontractor United Aluma-Glass Company, Inc. [“UAG”] and Bratton Corp. concerning work for the Hillsborough County, Florida Detention Facility East project. Following a jury trial, $262,957.24 was awarded to UAG against Bratton Corp. (subcontractor) as damages for its work on the project and for loss of business value of UAG resulting from the wrongful termination of the contract.
