This is an appeal by plaintiff from the judgment of the district court which sustained defendant’s exception raising the objection of prescription.

FACTS

The case before us involves wrongful death and survival actions brought by Barbara G. Jones, individually and on behalf of her minor son, Aaron Sharon Chisolm, against the State of Louisiana, Department of Transportation and Development (“DOTD”), as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
