The Surrogate.

The public administrator in the city of New York was, on the 25th of April, 1885, appointed administrator of the estate of this decedent. The appointment was made upon his verified petition, *260which alleged upon information and belief that the decedent died intestate at Paris, France, in December, 1870, and that at the time of his death he was possessed of certain personal property in the county of New York.
