—In an action to re*444cover damages for personal injuries, the plaintiff appeals from an order of the Supreme Court, Queens County (Golia, J.), dated October 29, 1999, which denied his motion pursuant to CPLR 3215 for leave to enter a judgment against the defendant Dolores Nelson based upon her failure to serve an answer.
Ordered that the order is reversed, on the law, with costs, the motion is granted, and the matter is remitted to the Supreme Court, Queens County, for further proceedings consistent herewith.
