OPINION OF THE COURT
SLOVITER, Circuit Judge.
Marvin I. Barish, counsel for the plaintiff Maído Comuso, seeks immediate appellate review of the District Court’s order dated April 25, 2000 imposing sanctions against him. We must determine whether we have jurisdiction to hear this appeal under 28 U.S.C. § 1291, and, if not, wheth er we should issue a writ of mandamus as requested.
