MEMORANDUM OPINION

BRUCE I. FOX, Bankruptcy Judge:

The debtor has filed an objection to the proof of claim submitted by the Internal Revenue Service, (IRS) in the amount of $1,953.57. Although the proof states that this claim is for taxes due in 1985, the parties agree that the time period in question is 1984. IRS contends that the debtor was a self-employed individual in 1984 and thus obligated to pay self-employment tax.
