Denver O’Dell (movant) appeals the denial of his Rule 27.261 motion. He sought to vacate his conviction of second degree felony murder which resulted in a sentence of fifty years’ imprisonment. On direct appeal, movant’s conviction and sentence was affirmed by this Court in State v. O’Dell, 684 S.W.2d 453 (Mo.App.1984).

In December 1987, movant filed a pro se motion. The motion was amended by paid counsel with a later addendum added to the amended motion. As movant states in his brief, “[t]he majority of the allegations in the first amended motion and the adden-dums thereto involved…
