DIXON, Chief Justice.

Writs were granted in this case to consider an attorney’s suit for costs and expenses advanced by a lawyer in a contingency fee case. The trial court and court of appeal, 400 So.2d 1144 (La.App.), dismissed the suit at plaintiff’s cost. We affirm.

Plaintiff, Margaret Coon, an attorney, represented defendants Deborah Sims and her father, Everett Sims, in their action for damages resulting from an automobile accident. A judgment against James Knight was obtained, but Coon alleges she was unable to enforce it because Knight had left the state. Plaintiff billed the defendants…
