In this Workers’ Compensation matter, the plaintiff, Jeffrey Coleman (Coleman) was an independent contractor hired by the defendant, Landstar Ranger (Lands-tar) as an “owner operator” over-the-road truck driver. In May 2002, Coleman was injured while completing a delivery for Landstar. Coleman alleges that he is disabled because -of injuries he sustained in the accident and that he is entitled to workers’ compensation benefits.
