CAPPY, Justice.

We granted the petition for allowance of appeal to determine whether the Commonwealth Court erred in concluding that the claim petition of Appellee Terry Schreffler (“Claimant”) was timely filed after his employer, Appellant Kocher Coal Company (“Employer”), voluntarily made payments for Claimant’s medical expenses, thereby tolling the limitations period of section 315 of the Workers’ Compensation Act (“Act”), 77 P.S. § 602.
