Commonwealth v. Chase
Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court
1Opinion of the CourtWilkins, J.
The defendant appeals from his conviction of murder in the first degree. He raises numerous issues which can be grouped into three general categories: the denial of his motion to suppress out-of-court and in-court identifications by one Walter Sylvia, Jr., rulings on other evidentiary issues, and various nonevidentiary questions, including an argument that he should be granted a new trial by order of this court pursuant to G. L. c. 278, § 33E. We have considered all of these arguments and conclude that the verdict of guilty of murder in the first degree should stand.
