This was an action brought by Walter H. Bartholomew, plaintiff in error, hereinafter called the plaintiff, against the Illinois Valley Railway Company, defendant in error, hereinafter called the defendant, to recover damages for injuries received by him on June 11, 1907, while employed by said company as a motorman, on its electric interurban railroad. There was a trial on the first four counts of the declaration, to which defendant had pleaded the general issue, and a verdict in favor of defendant.
