This is an action of ejectment. Plaintiff receiver claims to be the successor to the holder of record title of certain lands upon which oil has been discovered. Defendants claim title through mesne conveyances from the holder of a tax deed. The circuit court held that plaintiff had not proved a valid title, and directed a verdict of not guilty, upon which, judgment was entered. Plaintiff appeals.
