Irsie Irene Posey and Virgil Posey were married on November 30, 1939. They lived together from that date until February 17, 1979, a period of over thirty nine years. On February 17, 1979, after taking his wife to have their 1978 income tax returns prepared, and buying groceries, Mr. Posey left his wife at home and told her he was going to the barber shop to get his hair cut and would be back shortly. This was about 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon. He did not return home, and has lived elsewhere since.
