We shall reverse the convictions in this case and remand for a new trial because of improper argument by the prosecutor that was not corrected by the trial judge.

At about 7:30 p.m. on September 18, 1997, in the 2900 block of Parkwood Drive in Baltimore City, someone fired eight rounds from a .45-caliber handgun, fatally injuring Donte Walters and injuring Eric Brown. According to the State’s principal witness, Florence Savage Winston, Messrs. Walters and Brown were walking south on Parkwood Drive when they were shot. Ms. Winston testified…
