The defendant was charged and convicted as a persistent violator of the liquor law, and was sentenced to imprisonment in the penitentiary at hard labor for the period of one year. In this appeal two questions are presented, the unconstitutionality of the act providing punishment for persistent violators of the liquor law, and the insufficiency of the information because of indefiniteness and uncertainty, in charging the offense.
