Pursuant to G. L. c. 93A, § 6 (1), the Attorney General issued a civil investigative demand (C.I.D.) on the defendant (CUNA Mutual), a mutual insurance com pany doing business in all fifty States. The demand stated that the Attorney General was investigating “[ujnfair or deceptive practices in the conduct of trade or business related to charges for premiums for credit life or credit accident and health insurance in violation of Massachusetts General Laws, c. 255, § 12G.” CUNA Mutual moved, under G.
