The case was a civil action for damages for personal injuries, commenced in the Civil Court of Record for Hillsborough County, by the petitioners as plaintiffs, against the respondent, as defendant. The defendant appeared and filed his plea of "not guilty." Thereafter the cause was placed upon the trial docket.
