This is an appeal from a judgment and sentence upon a conviction for involuntary manslaughter. .

On January 10, 1939, at 6:40 p. m., appellant was operating a Ford automobile in a. southerly direction on Ridge Avenue at or near'the intersection of that avenue with Rector Street, which enters Ridge Avenue from the east but which does not continue westward Of Ridge Avenue.
