While judging a hunting-dog competition in Jones County, Gordon Dean Pearson was injured when he was thrown from a horse named “Buck.” The horse was owned by Jones Company, Ltd., and the competition was sponsored by Big Country Bird Hunters Association, an unincorporated association located in Taylor County. Pearson sued Jones Company, Jones Management Corp., Big Country, and National Shoot-to-Retrieve Field Trial Association, Inc. in Potter County. Jones Company and Jones Management Corp.
