As a result of a collision between a bus and a vehicle driven by the defendant David I. Cho, the plaintiffs commenced this action against the New York City Transit Authority, New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority, MTA Bus Company, and Ernie Lamboy (hereinafter collectively the MTA defendants). During discovery, the plaintiffs sought certain employment documents relating to Lamboy, who allegedly was the driver of the bus.
