Defendant Bell appeals his conviction of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession with intent to distribute cocaine in a publicly owned housing project (OCGA § 16-13-32.5). Held".

1. Following his conviction, defendant received a mandatory sentence of life imprisonment pursuant to OCGA § 16-13-30 (d). Prior to and during trial, defendant rejected a succession of plea bargaining offers from the State which would have permitted him to avoid the mandatory life sentence.
