This suit was instituted by appellee to recover damages alleged to have resulted to him by reason of fraud on the part of defendants and their agent, in inducing him to enter into a contract of sale of stock or an interest in what seems to be a joint-stock company, organized to develop certain oil leases which he alleges were owned by defendants as partners.
