This is an action against the defendants based upon an alleged copyright infringement of the copyright on a book by Jean Genet, a well known author, published by Editions Gallimard Et Cie in Paris in the French language, entitled “Journal du Voleur” (“The Thief’s Journal”), and also a copyright upon an excerpt therefrom published in an anthology in the English language in the United States.
