BACKGROUND

The present request by Judge Kaufman for a writ of prohibition comes to us from a medical malpractice ease filed in the Circuit Court of Kanawha County, but in truth it is the most recent incarnation of a divorce proceeding that has thrice found its way to this Court. We note some of the facts of the earlier cases because they provide a frame of reference for the instant dispute.
