OPINION

THOMAS, Justice.

The trial court convicted Ricardo Lloyd Johnson of aggravated possession of cocaine with intent to deliver and assessed punishment at fifty years’ confinement. In two points of error, Johnson complains that: (1) the trial court erred in overruling his motion to suppress because police officers lacked probable cause to make a war-rantless arrest and because police officers had insufficient specific articulable facts to justify a temporary investigative detention; and (2) the sentence imposed in this cause is constitutionally excessive.
