Buffington brought this suit against the Lakeside Irrigation Company and the Eagle Lake Rice Irrigation Company, B. L. Vineyard, F. O. Norris, and W. F. B. Wicker, to recover damages alleged to have been suffered by Buffington by reason of the failure of the irrigation companies to furnish him sufficient water to properly irrigate 100 acres of land leased to him by the Eagle Lake Rice Irrigation Company.
