Appellant was tried by general court-martial on 29 June 1978 and, in accordance with his pleas, was found guilty of receiving stolen property in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), 10 U.S.C. § 934. The military judge sentenced appellant to reduction to pay grade E-l, confinement at hard labor for eight months, forfeiture of $200.00 pay per month for eight months, and a bad-conduct discharge.
