MEMORANDUM AND ORDER
ALDRICH, District Judge.
BP America, the defendant and third-party plaintiff in this case, has moved to compel the deposition of Byron Krantz. Krantz had some involvement, as well as a financial interest, in the transactions at issue in this securities fraud case, and he and his law firm represent all of the plaintiffs and the third-party defendant. Krantz resisted BP’s attempts to depose him on the ground that it is generally inappropriate to depose opposing counsel.
