PRENTICE, Justice.
This is an appeal from the denial of habe-as corpus relief. Petitioner (Appellant) was convicted in 1973 of murder in the second degree and sentenced to life imprisonment. His conviction was affirmed by this Court on direct appeal. Jennings v. State, (1974) 262 Ind. 476, 318 N.E.2d 358. On December 9, 1976, petitioner filed a pro se “Verified Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus” in the Madison County Circuit Court.
