On January 10,1917, a deficiency judgment in foreclosure proceedings was obtained by the plaintiff against the defendant Regine Stern (along with the other defendants), a school teacher employed by the city of New York. On May 16, 1917, a garnishee order was issued against her salary under section 1391 of the Code of Civil Procedure, which order was filed with the corporation counsel on May 19, 1917.
