NADEAU, j.

The defendant, Frank J. Geis d/b/a Architectural Inspections, appeals the ruling of the Superior Court (Smukler, J.) to permit the plaintiff, Darlene Gallentine, a post-trial damages hearing to produce evidence of damages, which he claims were unsupported at trial. We affirm in part and reverse in part.

The issue before us is a narrow one. The gravamen of the defendant’s appeal is his objection to the trial court’s consideration of any evidence on the question of damages that was not admitted at the initial trial. This suit began when the plaintiff filed a writ of summons alleging…
