The plaintiff brought this action pursuant to G. L. c. 231A, seeking a declaration of his right under G. L. c. 41, § 111F, to receive leave without loss of pay as a police officer incapacitated due to an injury sustained in the course of duty. 2 A judge of the Superior Court declared that the plaintiff’s right to receive benefits ended on April 24, 1978, the date on which the board of selectmen sent him a termination notice.
